Objective of Education
The mission of the department is to produce highly qualified graduates who are well-trained in computer engineering and ready to adapt to ever-developing technology in the field.
The computer engineering department aims to foster the following four abilities
- The ability to serve the needs in industry by learning advanced information technology and various engineering tools
- The specialized ability to design and implement embedded system software and system integration
- The ability to creatively solve problems based on solid knowledge in computer engineering
- The ability to collaborate internationally with researchers and practitioners in the field of computer and information.
About department of computer engineering
The Department of Computer Engineering produces highly-qualified specialized graduates by offering the best learning environment for students. Students in the department are well supported by various government-funded projects. The faculty members in the department are pursuing new technologies across a broad spectrum of specialization in computer engineering. Computer engineering forms an infrastructure in this modern society; therefore, its applicability to industry is boundless not only in IT-industry (e.g., computer system, software development, information technology, mobile communication and system integration) but also in other industries such as bio technology, culture technology, nano technology, and robotics.
Our graduates can work in academia, government or national research institutes, companies, and computer- and/or IT-based venture businesses. Annually, more than 80 percent of graduates can find major-related jobs in companies such as Samsung, SK，LG, research institutes and venture businesses.
